Warzone 1 had its share of seasonal events that granted players in-game rewards. Following its predecessor, Warzone 2.0 also features seasonal events like the Mastery Camo challenges, which were added to the game with Season 3.
With the start of Season 5 Reloaded, players are getting another special event titled Faction Showdown Mastery Camo Challenges. Let’s take a look at the Faction Showdown camo challenges and the rewards associated with them.

The Faction Showdown is a very straightforward challenge event where players fight for TF 141, or Shadow Company. Players must get kills or vehicle stats to progress toward mastery camo. ]]>The post Warzone 2.0’s Second Map might be Las Almas from the MW2 Campaign appeared first on GameRiv.
]]>Call of Duty Warzone 2.0 is the biggest live service title published by Activision. The game is the direct sequel to Warzone 1. Integrated with Modern Warfare 2, Warzone 2.0 currently features two maps, one for core BR and another for resurgence BR.
Warzone 2’s official map Al Mazrah was officially revealed in the CoD Next event. Al Mazrah is a fictional Middle East Asian region that was heavily present in MW2’s campaign. Another significant region was Las Almas, speculated as the following big BR map of Warzone 2.
In a recent tweet, Modern Warzone confirmed Las Almas as the second map for Warzone 2.0.

Las Almas is assumed to be the next Warzone 2.0 map. Warzone 2.0 creator ModernWarzone confirmed the new map’s potential in his most recent tweet. Several parts of Las Almas are already part of MW2’s core multiplayer such as Mercado Las Almas and Santa Sena Border crossing.
Reputed leaker TheGhostofHope tweeted that Las Almas is 100% the following map for Warzone 2. The speculation comes from MW2’s campaign, highlighting how Las Almas had everything a BR map requires.
Las Almas is based on the Mexican plains. The region has everything, including mountains and an airport. Players who have played Warzone will agree on these points, as the airport and mountains have been important parts of both Verdansk and Caldera.
Furthermore, Las Almas has the most diverse environment featuring dense jungle and a populated urban area. The level also displays the “camo-ish” foilage of the area, making it a perfect choice for a BR map.
Another user shared a map from the game’s cutscene that features a map planned for Las Almas. Based on what we know, the region might be a foolproof map that might be added to the game alongside Al Mazrah.
However, these are just rumors at this point. So, take this with a grain of salt until Infinity Ward makes an official announcement regarding the future Warzone 2 maps.

]]>The post Can You Still Play Warzone 1 in 2023? appeared first on GameRiv.
]]>Call of Duty Warzone 1 is Activision’s most ambitious take on the battle royale genre. The game came into being as a replacement for Treyarch’s Blackout, which is a paid game mode. However, Warzone 1 is a F2P title that has earned its place as one of the top BR games.
Warzone 1 has had a long run of 2 years, but the game finally received a sequel of the same name. Warzone 2.0 is the newest BR title part of the new MW2 and CoD HQ. While the new title remains the main focus, Warzone 1 is still live. Here’s everything you need to know about Warzone 1 in 2023.

Warzone 1 is still available as a free-to-play title. However, there is a catch. Players who have played the game before November 16 can play the game for free as a standalone title. As for new players, they have to buy Modern Warfare (2019) to play Warzone Caldera.
Players can access the Caldera map in Warzone 1 as of now. Fortune’s Keep and Rebirth Island have been removed from the game following Warzone 2.0’s launch. The previous progression for returning players remains intact. However, there is no cross-progression for MW2 and Warzone 2.0.
Warzone 1 has cemented its place as one of the best BR titles. However, players and the devs have shifted their attention to Warzone 2.0, which has received the same appreciation as its predecessor.

]]>The post Popular Warzone 2.0 Streamer Aydan Got Suspended on Twitch for Alleged “Sexually Explicit Conduct” appeared first on GameRiv.
]]>Aydan Conrad, more commonly known as Aydan, is a 23 years old Warzone 2.0 content creator and a Twitch streamer for Subliners. He is one of the greatest influencers in the Warzone community due to his massive Twitch and YouTube followings.
Recently, the streamer was hit by Twitch and was suspended for 7 days due to a “sexually explicit conduct.” According to Streambans’ record, it is the first time Aydan got any kind of suspension or ban from Twitch.
Aydan made a post on Twitter on December 13, “Hey, guys. I just wanted to let you know I’ve been suspended from Twitch for 7 days for “sexually explicit conduct”. Not sure what the game plan is, but I just wanted to be transparent with you guys and keep you updated.”
Twitch is infamous for banning or suspending streamers without any context or notice. So, Aydan was also unsure if something like that had happened to him. However, his recent post made it clear why his account was suspended.
Aydan Tweeted, “I ended up getting suspended for humping my chair and moaning. Looks like we gotta turn it down a little bit, lol.” Which, at first sight, looks like a very silly reason for someone to get banned. So other content creators didn’t lose any opportunity to mock Twitch in this regard.
FaZe Swagg replied to Aydan’s Tweet, “if thats the case yall should be on mixer the way u guys move. Hector be two handing 🤣🤣😭”
Marksman mocked Twitch’s suspension by saying, “Yea… you crossed the line with that chair Aydan…” followed by two explicit pictures of a hot tub content creator’s pictures.

What do you think? Was Twitch’s decision to ban Aydan justified? Or should Twitch be more flexible toward content creators for situations like these?

]]>The post Modern Warfare 2 Player shares the “Perfect” Optic Selection UI appeared first on GameRiv.
]]>Call of Duty Modern Warfare (2019) introduced a brand new gunsmith, which has become a staple of CoD titles. The gunsmith allows players to modify their weapons according to their playstyles with various attachments.
Most weapons in MW2 come with a primary iron sight. While iron sights remain the best choice for competitive advantage, a few guns require sights for added precision. However, the current optic selection UI fails to show a preview of what the optic looks like.

The current optic selection in the game makes it confusing for players to understand what optic they are equipping on their gun. Some guns require a thick dot, while others require a thin dot. While the optic selection shows the name but not what the reticle looks like or its color.
Surprisingly, in a recent Reddit thread by u/TotallyUniqueName4, the user shared the optic selection UI with a revamped look. From the looks of it, the selection screen looks a lot better than the current one.
Players were quick to share their agreement with the selection screen. Most of the comments in the thread were incredibly appreciative of the new UI.
Another user highlighted how MW (2019) implemented a 3D inspection in the loadout screen, allowing players to see the sights or optics they chose.
The current UI’s complexity points towards the failure of the UI/UX designer from Hulu. Most players were skeptical of the UI designer, as a streaming service’s UI and the game’s UI are entirely different.
Hopefully, Infinity Ward will look at the community posts and implement these features in the game. The increase in the efficiency of gunsmithing will, in turn, simplify the whole process for their players.

Starting on November 16, Season 1 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0 will deliver action on all fronts: the next iteration of the massive free-to-play Battle Royale experience featuring the much-anticipated DMZ mode, reimagined maps in Multiplayer, and an additional Special Ops mission before the first Raid Episode. There will be plenty of content across both games through the all-new Battle Pass, football-themed events, and more.
Season 1 for Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0 goes live on November 16 at 10 AM PT. Modern Warfare 2 will receive its Season 1 update on November 14 at 10 AM PT. All platforms can preload Warzone 2.0 starting November 14 at 10 AM PT.
Central to the Modern Warfare 2 universe, the city of Al Mazrah within the United Republic of Adal is your first battleground for Warzone 2.0. For example, the following Multiplayer maps are subsections of this massive region:
Custom Loadouts are back for Warzone 2.0. Similar to the original Call of Duty: Warzone, Loadouts play a significant role in what makes this game unique, and in this new era, players will have quicker access to their Loadout’s primary benefit: the Primary Weapon. There are three ways to earn a Loadout or at least a Primary Weapon:
Additionally, in-match Cash can purchase Primary Weapons from created Loadouts.
Here is the full roster of vehicles players can expect to find in Al Mazrah:
ATV: Nimble three-seater with little protection
UTV: All-terrain lightweight four-seater.
Hatchback: Four-door civilian vehicle without any significant protection.
SUV (Standard): All-terrain civilian 4×4 with a boxy frame.
GMC Hummer EV: All-electric super truck engineered for off-road.
Cargo Truck: Large industrial vehicle with a flatbed.
Light Helo: Twin-engine light helicopter for rapid traversal and combat support.
Heavy Chopper: Heavily armored search-and-rescue helicopter.
RHIB: Maneuverable, a tactical boat designed for Special Forces.
Armored Patrol Boat: Reinforced underwater vehicle with mounted .50 Cal machine guns.
Vehicle Fuel, Gas Station Mechanic
“No more unlimited fuel sources — all vehicles (yes, including the EV) use fuel over time, and when it runs out, that vehicle is no longer usable. Vehicles can be refilled either with Gas Cans found around the map or at Gas Stations. Gas Stations can also repair body damage and tires, restoring vehicle health. However, Operators can also perform flat tire repairs anywhere in the world by interacting with individual tires.“
In addition to traditional Warzone modes – Battle Royale Solos, Duos, Trios, and Quads – Warzone 2.0 will launch with a brand-new experience known as DMZ. DMZ is an open-world, narrative-focused extraction mode where Operator squads have free rein to complete faction-based missions, take on additional side objectives, engage with enemy Operators or AI combatants, and search for valuable items, all while fighting to survive toward exfiltration.
Situated in the jungles south of Las Almas, the Shoot House’s new home was built for training cartel hired guns with the same level of intensity as Mexican Special Forces Operators. This live-fire facility is just as deadly as you remember – a small, three-lane map conducive to all playstyles.
Set on a cargo ship taking on water in a storm-ridden part of the Atlantic Ocean, a new Shipment is ready to bring back the chaos that only an ultra-compact map can provide.
“Hard-hitting, bolt-action sniper rifle with .50 cal BMG ammunition. Its tungsten sabot-tipped bullets are fast and powerful but require precise shots over long distances.“
How to unlock: Free weapon within the Battle Pass
“An aggressive fire rate and modular frame make the BAS-P perfect for the discerning operator who wants to customize their submachine gun. Subsonic ammo hides kill skulls from the enemy team.“
How to unlock: Free weapon within the Battle Pass.
“The Chimera is adept at close-quarters combat with an integrated suppressor and slow, high-energy .300 BLK rounds. Subsonic Ammo hides skulls from the enemy team.“
How to unlock: Store Bundle or Weapon Unlock Challenge.
“The M13B features a short-stroke piston system that allows for a high rate of fire and low recoil.“
How to unlock: Store Bundle or Weapon Unlock Challenge
Beginning in Season 1, reaching Rank 56 will unlock Prestige 1. This will grant an Emblem, additional rewards, and a set of challenges – complete those challenges to unlock an exclusive Calling Card. Season 1 includes four more Prestige Ranks, which also unlock a new set of challenges and rewards:
At the end of Season 1, players can continue ranking up from wherever they ended up on the Prestige Ranks. This allows players who may not have enough time to level up to catch up in later seasons while not resetting the progress of anyone who reached the Max Rank during that season.
